Vascular Treatments at The Vein Center

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Minimally invasive varicose vein removal can be done in less than an hour. Phlebectomy involves the manual removal of varicose veins through tiny punctures in the skin. The patient is given a local anesthetic for comfort as the doctor removes the malfunctioning veins.

After the treatment, there is minimal downtime, and no stitches are required. The treated leg will be wrapped with sterilized gauze, and you will be given a compression stocking to wear that will promote healing and minimize bruising.

Phlebectomy can also be performed independently or in addition to other varicose vein treatments.

Foam & Traditional Sclerotherapy

Quick and easy treatment for varicose veins and spider veins. Treatments are performed by injecting a gentle foaming solution to close the diseased veins. Sclero injections are virtually painless, and you can expect to see results within a few weeks.

Sclerotherapy appointments are usually completed within an hour and require no downtime. You will need to wear compression stockings, avoid direct exposure to sunlight, and stay active in order to prevent blood clots.

Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)

Minimally invasive varicose vein closure is performed by inserting a catheter into the diseased vein and then delivering laser-induced heat through the vein. The heat from the laser causes the vein to collapse. Once collapsed, the vein will be naturally absorbed by the body and disappear.

With the varicose vein gone, the body will direct blood flow into healthy veins, leading to better circulation and relief from vein-related leg pain.

This treatment can be performed under minimal sedation or with a local anesthetic. Time-wise, treatments usually take less than an hour and patients return to full activity the next day.

Varithena

Nonsurgical venous ablation that uses the Varithena forming solution to resolve varicose vein problems. Varithena is a non-thermal and non-tumescent option for venous ablation. Most often Varithena is used to target problems with the Greater Saphenous Vein (GSV).

Treatments are short and usually require little to no downtime after the appointment. Meaning you can get right back to work the same day.

VenaSeal

The VenaSeal system is a nonsurgical, non-thermal varicose vein treatment solution. During treatment, a special sealant is delivered into the diseased veins and then compressed and sealed. The displaced blood flow is redistributed to healthy veins as the varicose vein symptoms resolve.

Radiofrequency Ablation

Vein closure treatment achieved by heating the diseased veins with radiofrequency energy through a conductive catheter. After the procedure, the heated vein will close off and cause any connected varicose veins or spider veins to disappear.

Endovenous Laser Treatment

This minimally invasive treatment for diseased veins using laser-generated heat to close off diseased veins. Typically, the procedure can last one to three hours, and patients can return home the same day.

Microphlebectomy

Microphlebectomy is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure used to remove varicose veins. This treatment is best used for patients who have a large area of diseased veins that have not been resolved with other vascular treatments.
